About university
The university offers modern education in natural and technical faculties, fulfills the mission of educating students and conducting scientific research, and undertakes comprehensive activities for the use, transformation, protection of natural resources and the environment.

Tutoring
If you become a first-year student or a first-year master’s student at UPWr, we invite you to take advantage of academic tutoring – an unusual form of cooperation with academic teachers at our university. The aim is to help you achieve your educational and academic goals, related to your studies at UPWr and at the same time the area of specialization of the tutor – your master.
If you are particularly gifted – you are, for example, a winner of an Olympiad in biology, chemistry, mathematics, physics or computer science, or have a very high grade point average you will be able to benefit from the project.
In this project, from the first year of study at UPWr, you can benefit from an individual relationship with a tutor of your choice.

UPWr Doctoral School
Wroclaw University of Environmental and Life Sciences (UPWr) is not only a leading natural science university in the country, but also an internationally significant public university. Together with foreign partners, it conducts groundbreaking research in cutting-edge technologies in production, food safety, including functional foods, medical and environmental biology, clinical veterinary medicine and preclinical research on animal models, climate change, sustainable agricultural systems, including horticulture, and in the search for alternative energy sources and ways to protect the environment and global satellite observations. Scientific work at UPWr is guided by a single goal – to change the reality around us while upholding the principles of coexistence and sustainability.

Required documents
Documents submitted by foreigners
Foreigners (including holders of the Card of Pole and Permanent Residence Card) applying for admission to 1st or 2nd degree studies at UPWr register through the DreamApply system. Persons with Polish citizenship register in the IRK sytem. In addition to the documents listed in Part I- foreign certificates or diplomas, they submit in the specified deadlines:
1) an enrollment application printed from the DreamApply system signed by the candidate;
2) proof of payment of the enrollment fee to the account generated in the registration system at Wroclaw University of Environmental and Life Sciences indicated in the DreamApply system. A candidate who has not paid the enrollment fee by the deadline will not be considered for enrollment;
3) a document listed in Part III authorizing to take up and pursue studies on a fee-free basis for review;
4) proof of payment for a student ID card;
5) candidates applying for admission to study on a fee-paying basis shall present proof of payment for the first semester of study;
6) in the case of candidates taking up studies conducted in the Polish language, it is required to confirm knowledge of the Polish language at a minimum B2 level through:
(a) possession of a certificate of completion of a one-year preparatory course for study in Polish at units designated by the Ministry of Education, or:
(b) possession of a certificate of proficiency in Polish at least at the B2 level issued by the State Commission for the Certification of Proficiency in Polish as a Foreign Language, or:
(c) confirmation from the University accepting the student that their preparation and level of proficiency in Polish allow them to study in Polish, or:
(d) possession of a certificate of graduation from a secondary school where classes were conducted in Polish or a high school diploma issued in the Polish educational system or a diploma of graduation from a university where the language of instruction was Polish;
7) if applying for admission to a course of study conducted in English, knowledge of the language should be confirmed by an FCE, CAE, CPE, TOEFL, IELTS certificate or other document certifying sufficient proficiency in English;
8) a passport or other document proving the identity of the applicant for study for inspection;
9) foreigners qualified for majors with harmful or arduous factors are required to submit a certificate from a Polish occupational physician before the start of the academic year. This applies to the following majors: agroengineering, food safety, bioinformatics, biology, human biology, biotechnology, economics, renewable energy sources and waste management, horticulture, environmental protection, agriculture, food technology and organization, food technology and human nutrition, veterinary medicine, food quality management and analysis, production management and engineering, zootechnics, dietetics. A referral for testing is given to the candidate when submitting the documents.
Free undertaking of studies by foreigners
In full-time studies conducted in the Polish language, the following are entitled to take up and pursue studies free of charge:
- citizens of a member state of the European Union, the Swiss Confederation or a member state of the European Free Trade Agreement (EFTA),- a party to the agreement on the European Economic Area and members of their families, living in the territory of the Republic of Poland,
- persons who have been granted a permanent residence permit, or a long-term resident of the European Union,
- persons who have been granted a temporary residence permit in connection with the circumstances referred to in Article 159(1) or Article 186(1)(3) or (4) of the Law on Foreigners of December 12, 2013 (i.e., Journal of Laws 2020, item 35, as amended),
- persons who have refugee status granted in the Republic of Poland or enjoy temporary protection or subsidiary protection on the territory of the Republic of Poland;
- holders of the Card of the Pole or persons who have been issued a decision on the determination of Polish origin,
- spouses, ascendants or descendants of a citizen of the Republic of Poland, living in the territory of the Republic of Poland,
- persons with a certificate certifying knowledge of Polish as a foreign language, as referred to in Article 11a (2) of the Polish Language Act of October 7, 1999 (i.e., Journal of Laws 2019, item 1480, as amended), at least at the C1 language proficiency level,
- scholars of programs of the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange or scholarship holders of universities.
Fees
Foreigners undertaking education in Polish at the Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences in full-time and part-time studies of the first or second degree or uniform master’s degree programs pay semester fees in the amount of:

Recruitment fee
The fee paid by applicants for admission to the first year of full-time and part-time studies is:
PLN 85 (eighty-five) for all majors.
The fee should be paid for each declared field of study.
The fee should be paid to the account number individually generated in the Internet Candidate Registration system.
The fee must be credited to the account of Wroclaw University of Environmental and Life Sciences by the closing date of the system. If the fee has been paid but not posted in the system, please send a confirmation generated from your bank in PDF format to the Recruitment Office at: rekrutacja@upwr.edu.pl
